This session marks a bold, emotional, and unforgettable season finale — starring the Bronica Zenza S, nature’s untouched canvas outside Zurich, Switzerland, and two artists pushing personal and creative boundaries: Yuliya Panchenko and guest photographer Marina Siahaan.

This episode wasn’t just about film and photography; it was about liberation, trust, and the pure magic of film boudoir in one of Europe’s most scenic hidden villages. And for the first time in the project’s history, our fearless leader Yuliya ended up fully nude herself — sending waves of shock, admiration, and excitement through the entire Forbidden Frames movement.

About the Camera: Bronica Zenza S

The Bronica Zenza S, released in 1961, is a legendary 6x6 medium format SLR camera. Built like a tank, it offers photographers the ability to capture razor-sharp, high-resolution images on 120 film, perfect for commercial, fashion, and fine art photography. With interchangeable lenses, modular viewfinders, and film backs, this camera earned its reputation as the "Japanese Hasselblad." One of its standout features is the leaf shutter design — allowing flash sync at any shutter speed, ideal for capturing both studio portraits and sun-drenched outdoor nudes with precision.

This particular Bronica Zenza S was a special find: purchased by Yuliya during the Rollei 35 TE episode trip through Madrid, and finally put to use in Switzerland for this thrilling session.

Film and Friendship in the Outskirts of Zurich

In collaboration with Marina Siahaan, a passionate boudoir photographer from Zurich, Yuliya set out to create intimate, soft, and timeless 6x6 boudoir images — using Kodak Portra 800 and CineStill XX films.

At first, Marina was extremely nervous about modeling nude outdoors, surrounded by the wildness of nature and the intimidating gaze of the camera. But Yuliya, with her signature grace and empathy, guided Marina through the experience — making her feel beautiful, powerful, and completely at ease in her own skin. Marina would later say that Yuliya made her feel like she was "floating, not posing."

But in the true spirit of Forbidden Frames — challenges are meant to be hard.

The original challenge was for Yuliya to capture a variety of close-ups and detail shots, but the breathtaking scenery overwhelmed her. She fell into the allure of wide landscapes, forgetting her goal entirely. Nature stole her focus — and the challenge was officially failed.

And at Forbidden Frames, when you fail a challenge... you step into your model’s shoes. Literally.

Falling in Love with CineStill XX: The Film that Captured the Soul

For this unforgettable season finale, Yuliya carefully selected two powerful films: Kodak Portra 800 and CineStill XX (Double X). Portra 800 was her dependable choice, offering dreamy colors and the smooth skin tones every boudoir photographer dreams of. But it was CineStill XX — a raw, black-and-white motion picture film born from Hollywood’s golden era — that completely captured Yuliya’s creative heart. As she loaded the roll into the hefty Bronica Zenza S, she didn't yet realize she was about to witness magic. The landscapes outside Zurich — wild, textured, almost untouched by time — paired perfectly with CineStill’s gritty, silver-touched grains. Each frame felt cinematic, almost breathing on its own. The shadows were not just dark; they whispered. The highlights didn’t just shine; they bled emotion. When Yuliya first saw the negatives back from the lab, she was stunned by the way the film had translated not just light, but feeling. The softness of Marina’s body, the ancient earth beneath her feet, and the pure mountain air became one visual language, one continuous emotion, alive on every frame. It wasn’t just photography — it was pure cinema on film. From that moment forward, Yuliya knew: CineStill XX wasn't just a film stock for her anymore — it was a living, breathing partner in her art. Forbidden Frames would never be the same without it.

Yuliya’s First Full Nude Shoot on-Camera

In a twist no one could have scripted, the final test of the season demanded that Yuliya herself step in front of the camera, fully nude, in the middle of a remote Swiss landscape. What started as a playful act of resistance — intentionally breaking the Bronica’s mirror lock to avoid modeling — backfired in the most poetic way when Marina pulled out her digital camera, determined to capture Yuliya’s spirit without any technical barriers. With nothing to hide behind but the trust they had built, Yuliya stood alone against the vastness of nature: the green hills rolling endlessly, the alpine air crisp and cold, her body unguarded, strong, and free. The moment was raw and electric, a collision of fear and empowerment. Yuliya wasn’t posing — she was existing, breathing, becoming one with the earth around her. It wasn’t just about nudity; it was about reclaiming power, rejecting shame, and embodying the very spirit of boudoir: confidence born through vulnerability. It shocked the audience, the crew, and even Yuliya herself. But in that vulnerable exposure, Yuliya became the ultimate leader of the Forbidden Frames movement, proving that true art begins the moment you are willing to be fully seen.

Conclusion

The final images — both on medium format film and digital — are breathtaking tributes to trust, nature, and the unstoppable spirit of boudoir. Though the original challenge was technically a failure, the deeper triumph was undeniable: vulnerability, leadership, and transformation were captured forever on film.

We celebrate not just another camera or another session, but the forging of a new chapter where Forbidden Frames continues to break boundaries, elevate artistry, and remind the world why boudoir photography is more vital now than ever.
